THE README OF THE UNIVERSE AND EVERYTHING
1. Shares across multiple Communities or posts which belong in personal streams will be deleted as spam. Posts which have been shared to another community which contain information directly referencing Arch Linux are immune to this deletion.
2. Shares containing information about Arch Linux Derivatives including but not limited to Antergos and Archbang will be deleted if they do not contain information directly relative to Vanilla Arch Linux and its repositories[1].
3. Shares involving invites to other communities will be deleted.
4. All content that does not directly relate to Arch Linux will be rightfully deleted as spam and the account generating this will be banned upon continuing these posts, See rule 7 for Offtopic rules (No cats, unless they are dressed in Arch Linux sweaters).
5. Shares to an incorrect category will be deleted, you may re-post into the correct category, you will be notified in the comments upon deletion.
6. The Miscellaneous category will be used for only loosely related posts to Arch Linux, but not things completely unrelated, or repeated from other communities or streams.
7. Shameless self promotion of content unrelated to Arch Linux, or personal projects with Arch Linux that do not contribute to the community will be deleted as spam. Guides, problem-solving, requesting ideas or pretty much anything which is related to Arch Linux itself will be allowed.
8. When naming packages, please only provide the package name or links relative to https://www.archlinux.org/packages/ and https://aur.archlinux.org/ to eliminate confusion between AUR helpers or otherwise.
9. New posts (the first post in a thread) must be in English to ensure all can read the comment/problem you are having and help/respond. Other languages may be used if negotiated in the comments for ease of communication.
10. Posts involving asking for ETAs on package versions or features will be removed, Arch Linux has always been a distribution to release the latest and greatest package versions "When it's ready".
11. Though arch is a distribution focused on more savvy users, please be considerate of new users who may not understand a joke, potentially running harmful commands on their precious systems. Please mark posts which contain such content to ensure the safety of new users. ("Do not try this at home" or related)
12. Unofficial ISOs and installer scripts will be tolerated so long as they do not affect final installation. However, images and installers which create a pre-built system will not be. Live-only ISOs (meant for rescue/utility purposes) will be tolerated no matter the setup.
13. Do not paste program output and config files inline into posts or comments, all posts and comments with this will be deleted.
Please use a pastebin client listed on:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/List_of_Applications#Pastebin_clients
14. Shares to this README category will be deleted on sight by Moderators, you have been warned.
Examples of posts you shouldn't make are available under the Wall of Shame section.
